Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) together with NIMS College organized the first seminar “Writing Synopsis: Introduction and Problem Statement” of the Advanced Scientific Writing Workshop Series on May 3, 2023. The session was facilitated by Dil Khatri and Govinda Poudel from SIAS who talked about the key challenges/struggle in writing the introduction section and provided suggestions on overcoming the challenges.
Later, the participants were provided to read a sample introduction and asked to identify the key elements such as research gaps, analytical focus, methodology, and, contributions to literature.
Overall, the session was very engaging and the participants will submit a synopsis in two weeks to their respective mentors and continue working simultaneously.
