Sajjan Regmi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry Science from the Institute of Forestry in Hetauda. He recently started an internship as a research officer at SIAS. Previously, he volunteered with the Integrated Village Development Service (IVDS) during Baisakh 2074 to Karthik 2074, contributing to the establishment of Community-Based Disaster Risk Management Committees as part of the USAID Sabal project. He secured a grant for a study on the flood impacts of the Ktm-Terai Fast track and worked as a Field Assistant for a Master plan of integrated watershed management in the five rivers of eastern Terai region. He also served as a Research Assistant at the Institute of Forestry, contributing to projects related to Eucalyptus species and their eco-physiology in Sagarnath forest. Sajjan’s practical experience extends to his time as a Forest Technician at Dahal Group of Consultants Pvt. Ltd., where he was involved in community forest management plans and IEE report preparation. He has also been involved in education, coordinating classes for SAFE consultancy and teaching grade 10 at Janapriya Higher Secondary School (Technical School). Alongside his forestry career, he is a poet with a strong interest in literature.
