Sanjaya Khatri, Research Officer

Sanjaya Khatri holds a Bachelor’s degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences (BLAS), from Himalayan Whitehouse Int’l College. He is working at SIAS as Research Officer since June 2016. Earlier, he was involved as a research assistant on part-time basis and intern since 2015. His role in SIAS has been in coordinating and carrying out field studies using diverse social science research tools such as household survey, interviews, focus group discussion and participatory exercise. He also compiles field reports and transcribes interviews. He has also been involved in the organization of seminars and workshops for logistic coordination. Prior to joining SIAS, he was involved in ForestAction Nepal (in part-time basis), where he served as Research Assistant under different projects including PECA (Payment for Ecosystem Services Alternatives and Consequences) and CCRI (Climate Change and Rural Institution). He also assisted Masters and PhD students from abroad for their field work and transcriptions. He is building his career towards development analyst and policy researcher and is keen in the issues related to natural resource management and rural development.
