Barsha Gautam is currently pursuing M.Sc. in environmental science at Khwopa College, Bhaktapur, and is a recipient of the Chandra Gurung Memorial Fellowship 2023/24 awarded by WWF Nepal. She has previously worked in several environmental assessment projects of Asian Development Bank, United Nations Office for Project Services as well as World Bank. She has also served as a Research Assistant for a natural hazard and disaster risk (NH/DR) research project of University of Innsbruck, Austria in Nepal. She is passionate about integrating research, policy, and storytelling to enhance public understanding and engagement with environmental issues. She is also a member of Nepal Forum of Science Journalists.
