Field Course organized jointly by University of Edinburgh (UoE) and Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) – 2020

Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) in collaboration with University of Edinburgh (UoE) is organizing a field course for MSc in Environment and Development students of University of Edinburgh (https://www.ed.ac.uk/geosciences/postgraduate/taught-masters/msc-environment-development/about-the-programme). They will be introduced to projects, practices and processes related to issues such as water management, community forestry, and adaptation to climate change, disaster management, and biodiversity conservation. Students will meet with a range of people from government, development agencies, (I)NGOs, grassroots organisations, research institutions, and local communities. Based on these initial interactions and insights, students will then design, develop and conduct small group research projects, facilitated by UoE staff and SIAS.  (To know more about last year experience on field course please visit http://sias-southasia.org//httpwww-sias-southasia-orgnew/sias-uoe-field-course-2019/ )
