Salu Basnet holds a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development, and a bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Tribhuvan University, Nepal. She is currently engaged in research project “Transforming Political Capabilities for Equitable Resilience”. Prior to her involvement in SIAS, she did her internship at IUCN, Nepal and was later employed as program associate at the same organization, upon completion of her under graduation. Her broader research interest lies on forest management, resource governance, climate change and conservation policy.
