Partners in the CAMPS project gathered to share information on progress achieved so far, challenges, lesson learnt and the way forward at a mid-term progress review workshop on 11 to 13 December 2017 in Dehradoon, India. The CAMPS project has already crossed the mid-point of the 3 year of the initiative of action research on the issues of climate change, water security and urbanization. The workshop allowed the project team including lead and partner implementing organizations, stakeholder representatives and funding partner (IDRC) to retrospect about what has been achieved so far, what remains undone and what is the roadmap for upcoming half of the way for the project completion.
Progress of the project was presented by all the implementing partners. As a lead SIAS provided the overview of the project and also the site specific, CEDAR (India Partner organisation) presented on the progress of the India sites. Apart from the project progress updates, various experts highlighted the issues such as on the gender and institutions, research communication, public private partnership, etc. The highlight of the workshop was the stakeholders of four study sites presenting their views regarding the engagement and the change in the ground so far. The workshop allowed the research team to plan for the way forward regarding action on the project site and knowledge products as well.
