COVID Crisis: Differential Vulnerabilities of Women and People from Marginal Communities 

With the frequency of disaster occurrences in Nepal and worldwide, we now know that it doesn’t affect everyone in the same way. So has been the impacts of this crisis. At its best, the crisis has highlighted the often ignored essential role women play as care-givers, at its worse, it has led to an increase in domestic violence against women and has spiked maternal mortality rate. Therefore, this week we will be discussing the effects of the crisis particularly on women and people from marginalized groups. 
 
Dr. Renu Adhikari will summarize the situation followed by a commentary on the situation from their respective jurisdiction by Deputy Mayor of Damak municipality and Vice-chair of Dhupcheswor rural municipality, Nuwakot
