A half day interaction program entitled “Water Security and Ecosystem Service in Dhulikhel Region” among the key water stakeholders in Dhulikhel was organized on 25th July, 2014. The program was organized under the ongoing research project “Political Economy of Water Security, Ecosystem Services and Livelihoods in the Western Himalaya” to communicate research idea and update the initial research activities to foster cooperative engagement of those stakeholders. In addition, it explored opportunities for further engagement among the stakeholders. Around 15 participants comprising district and municipal level government officials, former mayor and deputy mayor, political party representatives, civil society and university lecturers put their views on the research agenda.
