Laxman Ghimire holds a Masters Degree in Statistics and has been teaching Statistics and Research Methodology in Kathmandu Forestry College. He has more than eight years experience in social and biophysical research. He worked for several agencies including DFRS, ForestAction Nepal, ICIMOD, DFID, WWF, World Vision International and World Bank in carrying out database management and analysis. His involvement also included developing the questionnaires, testing in the community, data entry format design, data organization and analysis in using SPSS and other software. The area of data analysis work included climate change, forestry, poverty reduction, alternative energy and income generation. He also worked as SPSS trainer.
