Dr. Rajan Parajuli is an assistant professor of forest economics and policy in the Department of Forestry and Environmental Resources at North Carolina State University, USA. Dr. Parajuli received his PhD in forest economics and policy, an M.S. in forest economics and management, and another M.S. in finance from Louisiana State University, Baton Rouge LA USA. He specializes in policy and economic impact evaluation, urban and community forestry, forest carbon and bioenergy markets, and community forest management for sustainable development. He has about 15 years of research and working experience in various forestry projects in the USA and Nepal. Dr. Parajuli has published over 50 peer-reviewed journal articles along with several outreach materials and trade articles. Additionally, he serves on the editorial board of Forest Science as an associate editor.
