Southasia Institute of Advanced Studies (SIAS) organized a Strategic planning residential meeting on 10th and 11th January 2023 in the presence of SIAS board members and staff. The objective of the meeting was to reflect on the SIAS thematic achievements, approaches and challenges in the past years, and to prepare SIAS Strategic Plan for the upcoming years.
Discussions focused on the relevance of SIAS’s goal, objectives, mission and vision, reorganizing the thematic pillars, increasing the networking and collaboration for national visibility, and regional outreach (South Asia level). Similarly, the team also had a discourse on institutional rebuilding in terms of reformation and renovation.
The strategic meeting concluded with an agreement to frame all the ideas that emerged and the management team will discuss and synthesize the presentations to finalize the strategic plan in the next board meeting.
