Rubina Adhikari holds M.Sc. in Global Environmental Change from the University of Greenwich and a B.Sc. In Forestry from Kathmandu Forestry College. She is a recipient of Women in STEM Scholarship by British Council.
Rubina serves as the Asia-Pacific Focal Point for the Children and Youth Major Group to UNEP, where she liaises with UNEP and regional youth constituencies across Asia and the Pacific. Prior to joining SIAS, Rubina worked as a Data Analyst at the University of Greenwich, United Kingdom, and has contributed to work across the research, development and finance sectors, including with the International Centre for Climate Change and Development (ICCCAD) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). She also served as a Data Values Advocate with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data (GPSDD).
Her research interests span community-based natural resource governance, climate adaptation and mobility, and more recently climate finance, with a core focus on the human – environment nexus.
