Prakriti Devkota is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Human and Natural Resource Studies at Kathmandu University, with a focus on climate change. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies from the same university, where her undergraduate thesis on large cardamom and rural livelihoods was supported by the Himalaya S. J. B. Rana Memorial Grant 2023. Her research interests include environmental conservation, climate change, sustainable agriculture, and impact assessment.
Prior to joining SIAS, she worked as a research assistant for independent PhD scholars and as a data surveyor for ADB-funded projects under KUKL–ProjectImplementation Directorate (PID). She also volunteered in developing the Human-Wildlife Conflict App Nepal. Outside of research, she enjoys nature exploration, home gardening, and exploring religions.
