Samiksha Ghimire
Research Intern – Ecology and Wildlife Dynamics

Samiksha Ghimire holds a Bachelor’s degree in Forestry from Kathmandu Forestry College and is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Natural Resource Management and Rural Development at the Institute of Forestry, Pokhara Campus. Her academic and research interests  focus on biodiversity conservation, human–wildlife conflict, and participatory natural resource management.

She has previously served as an instructor for the Diploma in Forestry program and worked as an interpreter and research assistant for international ecological studies, facilitating cross-cultural fieldwork and data collection. Her experience encompasses both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies, GIS mapping, and community engagement in biodiversity monitoring.

Samiksha is passionate about bridging scientific research with community-based conservation efforts to foster effective policies that support ecological integrity alongside human livelihoods throughout Nepal’s diverse landscapes.
